Seed Library

The Seed Library is a collection of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds that any resident of Vernon Township with a library card can borrow to plant at home. The collection will open on May 11th.

Library cardholders can check out up to 15 packs per season. We don’t expect you to return the seeds, but if you have extra seeds or collect the seeds from the plants you grow, we will gladly take them back into the Seed Library.

Have questions about the Seed Library? Please contact us at or call us at 317.485.6402. You can also find more information about planting through the Hancock County Master Gardeners Website.

To donate, bring in your seeds in any container, be that a glass jar or paper envelope, but we prefer containers smaller than 4 ounces.
